The Student-Staff Liaison Committee (SSLC) provides an important means of communication between staff and students in the Department of German. It is an open and friendly forum for the interests and views of Department students to be represented directly to staff. Student comments and suggestions are considered very seriously, and the issues raised in the meetings are followed through following discussions at staff meetings (which are also attended by student representatives). After each meeting, the Department produces minutes of the meeting in the form of a "You Said - We Replied" document, responding to all points raised.
Meetings are held approximately three times per year. If you have any suggestions to make regarding the Department - teaching, facilities, student support etc.- which you would like to raise at the SSLC, please speak to your student representative, who will present your points at the meeting.
