Our mentoring offering
Who helped you get to where you are today? Perhaps you remember certain people who gave you career advice, introduced you to new connections or simply just listened to your concerns. By mentoring with King’s, you could help a student or graduate reach their potential too.
Your experience is invaluable to the next generation. Giving up your time to become a mentor gives you a chance to make a real impact. You might help a current student assess their career options or provide advice to a recent graduate searching for their first industry role.
There are lots of ways you can get involved with mentoring, either as a mentor, a mentee or both.
Join King’s Connect
King’s Connect is your exclusive online gateway to the King’s alumni community, wherever you are in the world. It’s your one-stop-shop for making connections, expanding your professional network and mentoring opportunities. The King’s Connect portal is also open to students and staff.
Use the platform to connect with members of your King’s community, build your networks, join special interest groups and start conversations. Reach out to ask a question or for career or professional development advice, have someone review a CV or cover letter, or get help with interview preparation, whenever you need it.
Join our King’s Connect Mentoring Programme
Or for a more structured mentoring experience, join our three-month long programmes taking place twice a year in spring and autumn. Use the platform as a starting point to offer or seek help, find your match, connect by messaging or video chat, and benefit from a 12-week mentoring relationship.
Whether you’re just reaching out or joining a programme, making the right connections is easy on King’s Connect. You can search for contacts by industry, job function, subject studied, year of graduation, location or area of expertise. And and you can also find out who is offering or looking for help. And if you sync your King’s Connect account to LinkedIn, your professional details will always be up to date.
King’s Connect is open to all King’s students and alumni. Signing up is quick and easy and you can use your Google, LinkedIn or Facebook account. If you have any further questions you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on +44 (0)20 7848 3053 and we will call you back.

Other mentoring programmes
Our Leadership Programme matches students with alumni mentors for a six month cycle from November to April each year. We welcome driven alumni leaders who are keen to mentor an ambitious student to help them tap into their potential and develop their leadership skills.
The programme is open to all students, but priority is given to undergraduate students in the second and final year, and to postgraduate students. We ask for a commitment of one to two hours per month to the programme and the Alumni Office offers monthly communication and support to those taking part.
If you are interested in applying to take part in the next cycle of the programme, click the link below. If you have any questions, please email email@example.com.
