Abbie Andrew

Abbie-AndrewsAbbie is a researcher on the Effectiveness of Services for Mothers with Mental Illness (ESMI) MBU Study. This study is investigating the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of psychiatric mother and baby units compared to general psychiatric wards and crisis resolution home treatment teams for women experiencing severe mental illness in the first year post-birth.

She has a BSc in Psychology from Plymouth University and an MSc in Clinical Forensic Psychology from Kings College London. She has worked as an assistant psychologist in the NHS on a male low secure unit and in the private sector with families undergoing child care proceedings.
