Karen is an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow. She's in her final year and is supervised by Professor Howard.
Her research interest is perinatal self-harm and she is hoping to pursue a clinical fellowship next year. She trained at Oxford medical school, then did a Foundation programme in Scotland. She trained in surgery for two years before changing to CT1 academic psychiatry, via the ACF programme within SLAM. She is on the editorial team of the London Division Royal College of Psychiatrists newsletter and is currently pursuing clinical fellowship applications. Long-term, she hopes to become a clinical academic.
