EMERALD consortium - Emerging Mental Health Systems in Low and Middle Income Countries
The Emerald consortium - or Emerging mental health systems in low- and middle-income countries - consists of 12 participating institutions based in five different EU member states as well as six partners in Ethiopia, India, Nepal, Nigeria, South Africa and Uganda. This international consortium will collaborate to improve mental health outcomes by enhancing health system performance.
The Emerald consortium is formed by renowned psychiatrists and researchers with a strong scientific and/or clinical background in the fields of global mental health / health system research. Excellent research standards - including the latest scientific and technological advances - will be the basis for the Emerald Project.
