Trafficked women in Europe
To explore prospective associations between abuse during trafficking, physical health, past exposure to abuse in childhood and outcome of mental health in women who have been trafficked in seven countries.
The study is being conducted in Ukraine, Moldova, Bulgaria and the UK and has been funded by the European Union's Daphne Program by £100,000. The lead institution is the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine with a number of collaborating institutions, including the International Organisation for Migration, Animus, La Strada, Eaves Housing and King's College London.
