Dr Peter Schofield is an MRC research fellow in the Department of Primary Care and Public Health Sciences at King's College London. His current research uses whole population data to investigate the mental health impacts of urbanisation and migration reflecting his interest in the role of social processes in the aetiology and management of mental disorders. In recent years he has initiated a collaboration with Aarhus university in Denmark to investigate links between neighbourhood ethnic density and psychosis following a whole population cohort over thirty years. He is now planning a study to investigate the importance of neighbourhood factors for the mental health of refugees.
