Christina Daskalopoulou
PhD title: Determinants and trajectories of healthy ageing
During my PhD I am working on the construction of a healthy ageing index, the way this index changes throughout the life span and the influence of lifestyle behaviours on it. My project is part of the ATHLOS consortium (Ageing Trajectories of Health: Longitudinal Opportunities and Synergies). I have a Bachelor in Applied Mathematics, one Master degree in Applied Statistics and a second one in Business Statistics which was partly funded by a scholarship from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Before joining KCL, I used to work in the risk department of an insurance company and after that I was a senior consultant in a market research company. My research interests include ageing, longitudinal studies and psychometrics. I am also interested in systematic reviews, meta-analysis and in teaching research methods.
