Please note we are now the department of Basic & Clinical Neuroscience following a merger with the department of Neuroscience.
We investigate the mechanisms orchestrating the formation of brain circuits, and how disruption of their development leads to disease.
Our long-term objective is to translate our on-going pre-clinical developments in neuroimaging to the clinic, improving diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric and neurological diseases.
Our focus is to research age-related problems that impact at both an individual & society level, including neurodegenerative diseases, loss of hearing and pain.
We offer bursaries and scholarships to support students with the financial commitments of postgraduate study.
