KCL PsychSoc and KCL Neuroscience Society are proud to present Unravelling Psychosis: A Talk on Schizophrenia.

Schizophrenia is one of the most commonly misrepresented, stigmatised and misunderstood mental health disorders. It affects 1 in 100 adults, and each person's experience of schizophrenia is unique to them.

Despite public perception slowly changing, there are still many unanswered questions. What is it really like to live with schizophrenia? How can health professionals and carers help somebody with schizophrenia? What psychological therapies are available? How close are we to a cure?

Join us to discuss all this and more, with our expert speakers:

Dr. Arsime Demjaha
Consultant Psychiatrist, specialising in psychosis. She is undertaking research at the Department of Psychosis Studies at the IOPPN on treatment-resistant psychosis.

Dr. Juliana Onwumere
Consultant Clinical Psychologist with the National Psychosis Unit and the Psychological Interventions Clinic for Outpatients with Psychosis (PICuP). She is also the Family Intervention Lead within PICuP.

A CERTIFICATE FOR YOUR PORTFOLIO WILL BE PROVIDED. Refreshments will be available. This event is FREE.
