Experimental And Social Psychology Research Group (EASY)

Our research predominantly takes an experimental approach to address questions of relevance to cognitive and social psychology. With a strong focus on experimental design to identify causal relationships our work addresses questions relating to social cognition, imitation, empathy, theory of mind, emotion, motivations, decision making, and learning.

King's Health Economics

King's Health Economics, led by Professor Paul McCrone (Director) and Professor Sarah Byford (Deputy Director), consists of a team of health economists with expertise in designing and conducting high quality economic evaluations of healthcare programmes and policies. The results of our work contribute to policy-making and healthcare practice in UK and abroad, and we promote the use of rigorous evaluation techniques through a programme of teaching and training.

Life Course Epidemiology Group

We have particular interest in the development of methodology that illuminates and explains the complexity of developmental change and continuity, especially in the early years of life.  We provide active collaboration with a number of cohorts that each give unique insight into particular aspects of development (see projects page).

Social Epidemiology Research Group

The Social Epidemiology Research Group primarily focuses on how social contexts, interactions and experiences shape the occurrence, outcome, and management of mental health problems.

South East London Community Health Study (SELCoH)

The SELCoH study is an epidemiological cohort study of randomly selected households within Southwark and Lambeth. The study is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Biomedical Research Centre at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London; The Guy's and St Thomas' Charity and the Economic and Social Research Council.
