LGBT+ Mental Health

Our research investigates factors which contribute to the mental health of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and other sexual and gender minority individuals (LGBT+).  We apply the findings to develop interventions to reduce distress in sexual and gender minorities.  We use methods from experimental psychology, clinical and health psychology, genetics, biology and neuroscience.

Life Course Epidemiology Group

We have particular interest in the development of methodology that illuminates and explains the complexity of developmental change and continuity, especially in the early years of life.  We provide active collaboration with a number of cohorts that each give unique insight into particular aspects of development (see projects page).
