KCL Honorary Titles (Clinicians)

The award of KCL Honorary Clinical Lecturer titles are available upon successful application from non-University staff, who are Consultants, GP Principals or equivalent senior healthcare professionals making significant clinical teaching contributions.

There are two schemes available, one for those making a contribution to the education of King’s medical students and another for those engaged in the education and training of doctors in postgraduate psychiatry.

The process for applying for an Honorary KCL title for educational work, as well as the relevant criteria, is described on the guidance notes accompanying the application form.

Senior clinicians with significant clinical teaching contribution should complete the appropriate form and submit it along with their CV to the relevant signatory (as detailed in the guidance notes).
