Visiting/Honorary schemes

Visiting student appointments

Visiting student appointments may be considered for students registered for undergraduate or postgraduate study at a recognised UK or overseas higher education institution (HEI) who wish to obtain experience in a field complementary to their studies. Visiting student appointments are not available to students who meet the eligibility criteria for the Erasmus+ traineeships or visiting research students schemes. Students must not be applying in order to study or to receive formal supervision towards their qualification

Further details

  • The maximum duration of an appointment is six months
  • Consideration is being given to fees as a contribution to the administrative cost of making the appointment, security access, use of King's IT and library services and agreed access to departmental facilities and infrastructure (visitors are also able to attend events organised by the department)

How to apply

Potential visiting students must first identify a sponsor who must be an academic member of staff employed by King's College London in a relevant department at the IoPPN. Potential visiting students should make contact with this academic member of staff to verify that they are willing to act as a sponsor. The sponsor will then seek approval from the Faculty and, if approval is granted, will be able to provide details on arrangements for the appointment.
