NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre fully funded 3-year PhD studentships

The NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) is offering up to seven fully funded 3-year PhD studentships in the following areas:

  • Biomarkers and Genomics (1 x 3-year PhD studentship) 
  • Clinical and Population Informatics (1 x 3-year PhD studentship) 
  • Bioinformatics (1 x 3-year PhD studentship)
  • Bioinformatics and Statistics (1 x 3½ year PhD studentship)
  • Obesity, Lifestyle and Learning from Extreme Populations (3 x 3-year PhD studentships)

We are seeking outstanding applicants from a wide range of backgrounds including:  neuroscience; psychology; biological science; physical science; epidemiology; mathematics; statistics; bioinformatics; computer science; data science; applied and health statistics; machine and deep learning; natural language processing; text analytics to work at the cutting edge of mental health research.

These awards are funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) through the Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London (KCL).

An exciting range of PhD projects is offered with opportunities for applicants from diverse academic disciplines.
