Maudsley Philosophy Group Award

 

The Maudsley Philosophy Group Award for the MD(Res) Medical Humanities programme  

The annual Maudsley Philosophy Group Awards are for newly-qualified psychiatrists undertaking postgraduate research into the ethical and philosophical issues central to the practice of psychiatry. 

Each award has a maximum value of £2,500 p.a. to meet the IoPPN tuition fees for the Medical Humanities MD(Res) degree over a period of (usually) four years. The total value of an award is therefore a maximum of £10,000. 

Applications to this award will be considered by the Trustees of the Maudsley Philosophy Group annually, towards the end of each academic year.

Eligibility and Admissions Process

To be considered for this award, applicants must apply and be enrolled on to the MD(Res) Medical Humanities programme. For information regarding the eligibility criteria for this programme, please see here

You will need to complete the application process as normal; identifying 2 supervisors who are willing to work with you, making an online application and submitting a Project Approval Form by the admission deadline. 

Please note that the IoPPN have three entry points per academic year to enrol on to the MD(Res) Medical Humanities programme; October, February and June.
