King’s IT needs enthusiastic graduates to support the ambitious academic and research strategies that will help King’s deliver its 2029 Vision.
We have exciting opportunities for graduates interested in an IT career in the higher education sector. We welcome applications from graduates, from any academic disciplines, with a preference of King’s students with a degree in IT or Business.
The 2-year rotational Scheme aims to grow graduates IT and Business skills and experience. We will give you the opportunity to develop in several areas of IT and build the foundation of your career. Graduates will receive training and work under the direction of IT specialists, gaining broad, hands-on experience.
Graduate Scheme assignment areas can include:
Project Management Office
Support strategy and planning for existing and emerging technologies, develop data management solutions, conduct analysis and reporting, support Project Managers and Technical Co-ordinators, and encourage best practice and good solution design.
Support the overall administration, management, and reporting of IT projects and programmes, developing training and resources, and helping the IT Portfolio Directorate Team to apply good practice and professional standards.
Support Project Managers, including workshop and meeting support, project status reporting, co-ordinating deliveries, liaising with stakeholders, and detailed scheduling.
Support technology enhanced learning projects, produce guidance and training for academics and students, edit and maintain content on our e-learning platform.
Support the team in front- and back-end development, support user queries for websites, mobile apps, screens and systems; and fulfill training requests.
Support functional and non-functional testing for business and IT system processes, assure delivered solutions are fit for purpose, and contribute to testing policies.
Support the handover of delivered solutions from development to service support, manage stakeholders, and assist with service documentation.
Support user queries and requests for business, student and research systems and services, maintain service documentation, and participate in service improvements.
Support user queries and requests within the compute and storage team, providing the platform for services and applications to run on, maintain service documentation, and participate in service improvements.
