Jean Monnet Centre for Europe in the World

JMCE School of Diplomacy

Brexit the Challenge: New prospects for Britain and the EU

The event is based upon a book presentation by Italian MP Daniele Capezzone and journalist for Radio Radicale Federico Punzi. The two attempt to re-evaluate the Brexit prospects from a different perspective, suggesting that it could have widespread repercussions on the role of nationalisms and the German question in Europe. Nevertheless, the event will revolve around a more fluid and interactive panel discussion, chaired by Deputy head of mission of the Embassy of Italy, Mr. Vincenzo Celeste. Joining the panel, besides the two authors, will be two professors of European studies: Professor Leila Simona Talani, chair of the Jean Monnet centre of excellence at King's, and Dr. Edoardo Bressanelli, senior lecturer in European studies. The event is organised in cooperation with King's College London Italian Society and the Embassy of Italy.
