About the role:
The Inter Site Logistics Driver will utilise one of the fleet of electric vans and complete a daily route between campuses picking up and delivering post and other items for internal transfer within the University. The primary duty of the post holder is to drive safely to each destination and then to safely move items between campuses in a timely manner, following managerial instruction and within both agreed time limits and those dictated by Service Desk requests. Reporting to the Fleet Co-ordinator and sitting within Facilities Management.
The post will be based at Bush House (The Strand) working alongside the Fleet- Co-ordinator however this is an inter-site role, the logistics driver will be required to drive between all of the sites.
This is a full time post ( 35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
1. Able to plan safe and efficient driving routes and understanding of road safety.
2. Full driving license and good knowledge of traffic regulations
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with staff of all levels
4. Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize work.
5. Manual handling skills and experience
6. Self-motivated, able to use own initiative.
7. Flexible approach and good team member
8. IT and computer skills
Desirable criteria
1. Experience of providing a logistics service
2. Experience of working with CAFM systems
3. Experience working within a post room environment
