About the role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chef de partie to join our busy team at Bush House on our Strand Campus.
Reporting into the Head Chef you will be responsible for assisting with the day to day running of the kitchen operations focusing on quality and consistency.
This is a hands-on role and ideally you will have experience at a similar level and above all else have the drive to deliver excellence of service. This is a busy and challenging role, and the ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
Have a strong craft background
Eye for detail
Be passionate about food
The ability to lead by example
Excellent organisational skills
Aware of current food trends
The contract is offered on a five out of 7 days basis and will involve working evenings and weekends.
This is a full-time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
About you: (the candidate)
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
1. Hold a recognised catering qualification
2. Hold a food handlers’ certificate – Intermediate level
3. Knowledge of food preparation, cooking and portion control
4. Experience of food preparation for large numbers
5. Experience of hospitality and events catering
6. Excellent cooking skills
7. Passionate about food
8. Experience of working as part of a team
Desirable criteria
1. Knowledge of food allergens
2. Knowledge of special diets
