King’s College London are looking to recruit an Analyst into the Finance Systems team within the within the Finance, Procurement, Strategic Planning and Analytics Directorate.
About the role:
The primary function of the role is to assist the Senior Analysts in administering the College’s finance system, ensuring system integrity, maintaining reference data and resolving user issues. The role will also assist with process improvement and further system developments.
This role is important for the university as the Finance system is critical for purchasing, raising sales invoices and managing and reporting on the College’s finances for statutory and internal reporting and for reporting to funders for Research Grants and Studentships.
Reporting to a Senior Analyst within the Finance Systems team, this role will work as part of a team supporting this service and so may be asked to work across the service’s activities and occasionally support the work of the wider FPSP&A Directorate
This is a full time (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
1. Aptitude for systems and the ability to learn and understand other systems that integrate with the Finance System.
2. Numerate and IT literate with demonstrable literacy and competence in Microsoft Office Products to intermediate level.
3. Attention to detail and working to a high-level of accuracy
4. An interest and commitment to continuous improvement both in their own work and supporting this in others
5. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in the written word, in person and online.
6. Customer service skills and a service approach in your professional work
Desirable criteria
1. A relevant degree level qualification
2. Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
3. Experience of having worked in or with the university sector
