About the role:
The Sport & Wellness Coach plays a key role in helping us achieve our mission of delivering unique sport and wellness experiences that unite our communities and optimise our people and their potential. The postholder will be instrumental in delivering wellness activities through the King’s Sport & Wellness Centre and across our facilities.
The role aims to fulfil the King’s Sport & Wellness ambition of supporting our communities in finding their personal best, while achieving the objectives of the Estates Philosophy and the Community Business Services Functional Plan to deliver world-class services to a world-class university. The Sport & Wellness Coach will share their expertise and knowledge to support the delivery of outstanding gym operations, fitness programs, and holistic wellness services.
Additionally, the postholder will play a key role in offering wellness opportunities across various services and programmes, developing both physical and digital engagement platforms to enhance the physical, mental, and social wellness of our community.
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
About You: (the candidate)
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
1. Level 2 Fitness qualification.
2. Knowledge of the importance of holistic wellness provisions on individuals' overall wellbeing.
3. Experience of working with the needs of a broad range of service users with experience in delivering group activity relating to wellness.
Desirable criteria
1. First Aid qualified
2. Level 3 fitness qualification and/or holistic group fitness qualifications.
