The role will support the Catering Services function and provide a professional and competent level of service to all customers working closely with the catering team to ensure that the agreed services are delivered on time to the required standards.
Working under the direction of the Hospitality Manager your main role will be the delivery, setup, and collection of all hospitality services.
You will be based in the Hospitality department but be flexible and able to work in any of the College outlets.

We are looking to recruit a hospitality assistant to work at Henriette Raphael Building on our Guy’s Campus. This is a hands-on role, and the post holder will be involved with the delivery and lay out of food and drinks, food service and room set up and breakdowns. The successful candidate should have a sound knowledge of customer service and catering for hospitality and events.
The ideal candidate will be:

- Have a passion and commitment to provide good customer service.
- Have a flexible and positive approach.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Have an understanding for food hygiene regulations.
The contract is offered on a 5 out of 7 days basis and will involve working evenings and weekends.
This is a full-time post on an indefinite contract
About you:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- Good written and verbal English.
- Basic level of computer literacy (ability to access emails and online training).
- Excellent at working as part of a team or alone.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks at the same time.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with colleagues and management team.
- Good hazard awareness/ability to identify and report issues.
Desirable criteria
- NVQ level 1 or equivalent catering qualification
- Hold a current Food Handlers certificate.
