The team process high volumes of recruitment requests with an average of over 3000 requests being completed each year by the team. We take these requests through the recruitment journey from advertising, shortlisting, and interviewing; to preparing offer documentation and contracts, carrying out pre-employment checks, and commencing the employment records for the new staff members of King’s College London.

About the role:
The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support for the recruitment process at King’s in collaboration with the relevant Recruitment Advisor. This role will work closely with a Recruitment Advisor to manage the recruitment of an allocated faculty/school/directorate of the University and some of the administrative tasks associated with the recruitment process.
This is a fast paced, high volume administrative role and strong attention to detail and organisational skills will be required to be successful in this role. You will be responsible for ensuring that accurate contractual correspondence is issued to candidates and stored appropriately on HR files/systems, conducting accurate and timely pre-employment checks, and onboarding new starters to the payroll system.
You will also be responsible for providing responses to recruitment related requests and queries using our internal communication platforms to track/respond to queries within agreed service level timeframes.
The role is hybrid and the role holder will be expected to attend the office in Lavington Street (Southwark) as well as travelling to other King’s campuses in line with business needs.
This is a full time (35 hours per week) role and successful candidates will be offered either a secondment or a fixed term contract (FTC) until 31/12/2025.

About you:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- Educated to A level standard (or equivalent) with proficiency in English and Mathematics
- Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy in delivery of work
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage large workloads independently
- Experience of delivering multiple priorities and working under pressure to tight deadlines
- Experience providing high volume recruitment administration
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse range of people
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of HR/ Recruitment best practice and previous experience of working within a HR/ Recruitment setting
- Knowledge higher education policies and previous experience of working in a higher education or comparable setting
