About the role

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with excellent customer service, staff management and technical skills who will oversee the delivery of a first-class user experience for staff, students, and visitors via in-person support, telephone calls, email, and Microsoft Teams either under the direction of the EUS Campus Manager or AV Operations Manager, or under your own initiative.

Based at our Strand South Campus, you will lead a team of multi-skilled technicians who provide support to our lecture theatres, classrooms, event spaces, meeting rooms and other spaces. Daily duties will include aiding and coordinating the team in supporting users and maintaining devices including Crestron control systems, PCs, data projectors, PA systems, smart boards, visualisers, lecture capture, and other AV equipment to aid the delivery of teaching, conferences, and events.

The role is hands-on but also responsible for managing the workload and rotas of team members and temporary staff. Other responsibilities include managing AV bookings, ensuring that the required AV equipment is available and functioning in the rooms or delivered as required for lectures, functions, and events; using remote tools to monitor and assist users; managing the team’s support ticket queue; coordinating audio and video recording of lectures and events with the AV Media Producer; and Microsoft Teams support for hybrid meetings and teaching.

As AV Supervisor you will be the technical and customer escalation point for the AV team, help to identify service improvements, shape our AV standards, and be able to work independently. You will have proven technical experience in an AV specialism with a good understanding of the underlying theory and be responsible for the professional development of the team.

You will take the lead in arranging and supporting live events, video production requests, and maintenance issues, coordinating the team as necessary to ensure an excellent customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have previous team management/supervisory experience, be a team player, with strong knowledge of AV and IT skills and with excellent communication and customer service skills.

This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
