The research group aims to investigate how ageing impacts the development and differentiation of monocytes and macrophages, and how this contributes to the onset and pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis.

The successful candidate will combine preclinical models, in vitro assays, and computational analysis to elucidate molecular changes driven by ageing, that contribute to pathogenic inflammation. We foster an inclusive and interdisciplinary culture, and are committed to supporting career development.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and engaged research assistant who is passionate about enhancing understanding of fundamental immunological processes relevant to inflammatory disorders. The successful candidate will assist on projects investigating differentiation pathways of monocyte-derived macrophages, how these are augmented by ageing, and how they contribute to rheumatoid arthritis. This is a full-time post for 35 hours per week, and you will be offered a fixed term contract for 12 months.
