Greek

About

Modern Greek is the development of Ancient Greek, one of the oldest Indo-European languages. It has its own alphabet and language rules.

If you have studied or are studying Classics or Ancient Greek, it is easier to learn Modern Greek and explore Modern Greek Culture and Literature. The language is mainly spoken in Greece and Cyprus. You will find large Greek communities in Western Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and Argentina.

As Greece and Cyprus are two of the most popular destinations for tourists, studying Greek with the Language Centre will help you understand the culture and lifestyle of the locals, communicate and deal with public services.

Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced native speakers. They use their extensive knowledge of the language, literature and culture to inspire and encourage students to progress in their learning and develop a high level of competence in the language.
