Overview

By studying Arabic Level 6, you will be able to recognise the implicit meaning in written and spoken texts, be able to make presentations on various subjects, be able to express yourself spontaneously in complex situations, analyse written and/or spoken material and have improved your intercultural competence further by accessing political, historical and cultural information from a variety of sources.

What does this course cover?

Topics may include:

  • Connecting with the culture through blogging
  • Journalism: Newspapers vs online news reading
  • Sustainability and environmental issues
  • Human rights and activists in the Middle East
  • Sectarian differences and the implication on societies

Functions may include:

  • How to create a blogging platform in Arabic
  • Discussing the new form of journalism and its impact on newspapers
  • Learning about the current environmental policies and issues in the Middle East
  • Learning about human rights and famous activities in the Arab world
  • Learning about the nature of sectarian differences in the Arab world

Grammar may includes:

  • Declension الإعراب
  • Verbs in the majzoom case
  • Verbs in the mansoob case
  • Verbs in the marfoo’ case

What will I achieve?

When Arabic Level 6 is complete, you will achieve the equivalent of C1 level of the CEFR.
