Overview

By studying Arabic Level 6, you will be able to recognise the implicit meaning in written and spoken texts, be able to make presentations on various subjects, be able to express yourself spontaneously in complex situations, analyse written and/or spoken material and have improved your intercultural competence further by accessing political, historical and cultural information from a variety of sources.

What does this course cover?

Topics may include:

  • Travelling through the Arab world
  • Arabic folkloric stories
  • The history of nomads in the Arab desert
  • Dealing with controversial topics in the Middle East
  • The journey of learning Arabic

Functions may include:

  • Discovery of different historical aspects in the Arab world
  • Learning about ancient folkloric stories and personalities
  • Learning about the history, language and clothes of the nomads in the Arab desert
  • Discussing controversial issues and how these are dealt with in the Arab world
  • Discussing the challenges of learning Arabic and ways of overcoming these challenges

Grammar may include:

  • Quantifiers
  • The Conditional (continues)
  • The negative of the imperative and conditional (continued)
  • Interrogative sentences with the letter أ with the pronoun (أانتم – أهم – أنحن)

What will I achieve?

When Arabic Level 6 is complete, you will achieve the equivalent of C1 level of the CEFR.
