Evening & Saturday Language Courses

German Level 1, Part 1 (one-week intensive)

This one-week intensive course is taught over 5 consecutive days (Monday to Friday) from 10.00 to 13.00.

Summer course

German Level 1, Part 2

Learn simple past verbs, like sein (to be) and haben (to have). Start working on the modal verbs wollen (want), müssen (must), können (can) and the perfect past tense. Practice how to make small talk, describe your work, and get directions.

Evening course

German Level 1, Part 3

Learn how to use adverbs of time (today, yesterday, etc.), ordinal numbers (first, second, etc.), and make requests with imperatives. Improve your modal verbs with sollen (be supposed to) and dürfen (be allowed to). Practice describing medical symptoms, asking for advice and giving compliments.

German Level 2, Part 2

Continue learning how to use adjective endings and subordinate clauses, ask indirect questions and use the simple past form of modal verbs. Practise how to describe your childhood, write professional emails, arrange property viewings and shop for furniture.

German Level 2, Part 3

Start working with the simple past or imperfect tense (Präteritum) and relative clauses while continuing with indirect questions and subordinate clauses. Practice describing past events and people, discussing friendships, and expressing opinions, preferences and complaints.

German Level 3, Part 3

Round out your series of German language classes by discovering how to use trotzdem, the pronoun man, subordinate clauses with sodass and past participles as adjectives. You’ll be able to use brauchen + zu + infinitive to say what you do or don’t need, describe something in detail, and make or react to predictions.

German Level 4, Part 3

By this stage, you’ll comprehend almost 100% of the literature you’ll receive and be able to write with a high level of accuracy. Understand how to use the passive tense and alternatives, indefinite pronouns, and comparing statements.

German Level 6+ (Current Affairs), Part 2

Continue your German course with more time learning about current affairs. You’ll master how to analyse written and/or spoken material and make presentations on various subjects and discuss a range of complex topics.

German Level Destination Weekend

Learn how to communicate at a fundamental level and do things like shop for simple purchases, tell the time and date, order a meal and take directions. You’ll be able to understand introductory written texts and get an insight into German life, culture and society with just one weekend of classes.

Greek Level 1, Part 1

This course is aimed at a wide range of students with a general interest in Greek. No prior knowledge of Greek is required as the course is for complete beginners.
