Construction Law Introductory Seminar 2017

On September 13 the Centre of Construction Law will be holding an afternoon Seminar, entitled Introduction to the Basics 2017.

This annual seminar is for those considering specialising in construction and for junior or recently appointed staff encountering construction issues for the first time. It provides a general introduction to many of the widely encountered principles, as well as identifying some current ‘hot topics’.

The expected themes and speakers are:

  • Procurement and Tendering (Julie Teal – Withers LLP)

  • Claims (Liam Holder – Navigant)

  • Defects and their legal remedies (Sarah Williams – Keating Chambers)

  • Dispute resolution (Nicholas Gould – Fenwick Elliott LLP & Kings College London)

  • Development and Finance (Helen Garthwaite – Wedlake Bell LLP)

Presentations and discussions start at 2pm and end at around 6pm. The presentations will be followed by a drinks reception in Staff Common Room, 1st Floor, King’s Building.
