Trial - Health & Wellbeing Room

H&W header 2018

This is a pilot project which is the result of a collaboration between Library Services, WellbeingCounselling Services and the Alumni department

The Health & Wellbeing room is located in room 2.24 in the Maughan Library and was originally trialled in 2016-17 with comfy bean bags for you to take a break, relax your mind and find new inspiration.

After your feedback we are going to try holding various creative workshops in along with regular weekly yoga and tai chi sessions. We have also altered the furniture in the room to be an environment for relaxing and gaining inspiration rather than for studying.

This new trial period will be from 23 April to 25 May, please go a take a look and  relax or join in with one of the sessions/workshops below.

Wellbeing Collection

In the room you will also find  a collection of reference only books on the topics of health and wellbeing. These books have been chosen by the King's Counselling team and were purchased using the King's Alumni Buy-a Book scheme. You can look at the titles of all the books in the Wellbeing Collection Reading List.

We welcome your feedback that will inform future development of the space, please send through any comments and suggestions via the online comments form.
