Faculty of Arts & Humanities

The Faculty of Arts & Humanities, located on our Strand Campus, is one of the UK's most prestigious arts and humanities faculties.

Based in the heart of London, the Faculty  benefits from close links with many of the capital's most renowned cultural institutions, including the British Museum, Shakespeare's Globe and the National Portrait Gallery.

Faculty collaborations with London include:

  • Developing teaching partnerships with cultural institutions, industry and government. These include Tate (Culture, Media and Creative Industries); British Museum (English); The Women’s Library, City of London Police Museum, British Library and Layers of London website (Liberal Arts); National Gallery (Theology & Religious Studies).
  • Offering modules that are built on close engagement with cultural partners across London, such as ‘Cultural Management: The Experience’ and the 'London Industries Forum' in the Global Media Industries MA (Culture, Media & Creative Industries).
  • Developing London-focused roles within the faculty including a lectureship in Liberal Arts & London (Dr George Legg).
  • Enabling co-curricular collaborations with London's cultural organisations including the Black Cultural Archives, British Library and Shakespeare's Globe.
  • Leading a series of projects that aim to open up access to education and King's research to our local communities.
