Welcome from the Dean of Bioscience Education
Welcome to the School of Bioscience Education within the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine at King’s College London. Located at the heart of a thriving capital city, King’s has one of the largest conglomerates of people delivering education and research in the health sciences.
As a student in the School, you will benefit from our success and position as leaders in biomedical scientific research and discovery. King’s reputation for basic and applied research spans several centuries and is as strong now as ever before. By joining King’s, you will learn from staff who are strongly committed to both high quality education and research.
Everything we do is directed towards producing graduates who will excel in whatever career path they choose to follow. Our graduates take on vital roles in medical teams and the healthcare professions and follow career paths in sectors ranging from the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries to communications and finance.
You will benefit from learning alongside students studying towards a diverse range of healthcare-related programmes, including the biosciences, medicine, dentistry, nursing and midwifery. Add this to the opportunities that arise from being part of a multi faculty university – most programmes allow students to study a modern language for example - plus the unique opportunity to study towards the Associateship of King’s College London, then it is perhaps not surprising that our graduates are highly sought after by employers.
We welcome ambitious students who not only show academic promise but also share our passion for discovery. In return, we offer an intellectually stimulating environment supported by a welcoming and caring faculty.
