'Community of Opportunity'

People working and studying in health and social care across the region are being asked to sign up now to make full use of the South London HIEC website when it launches.

The site, currently in development, will combine best practice resources collected from organisations across South London with knowledge-sharing tools and a virtual learning environment. Registering now will mean full access on launch, and the ability to personalise content to match personal or professional interests.

The four HIEC health themes – closely mapped to local and national health priorities – will be at the centre of the site. People who register will have access to a variety of resources, including e-learning packages on aspects of diabetes care and listings for and materials from stroke events.

Laurence Benson, SW lead for the South London HIEC and leading on the HIEC IT project, said: ‘This website will assist in creating a cross-sector community of opportunity for professionals. It will allow for greater engagement and collaboration and create a platform for knowledge generation and the sharing of best practice.’

If you have any questions or comments on the HIEC website, please contact Terence Harrison, Knowledge Specialist. If you would like to register to use the site, email South London HIEC Communications Manager Alison Berridge.
