New Head of Department of Neuroscience announced

Dr Jon Robbins has been appointed as the new Head of the Teaching Department of Neuroscience. Jon brings huge experience of Neuroscience undergraduate education; he has previously held the roles of Senior Tutor, Deputy Head of Programme and Programme leader for the Neuroscience Intercalated BSc.

The Neuroscience BSc programme remains administratively rooted in the School of Bioscience Education, led by Dr Ian McFadzean, and works in close conjunction with the other BSc programmes in the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine (FoLSM).   Jon’s role will also involve a high degree of integration between FoLSM and IoPPN, including liaising and working with Professor Sarah Guthrie, Deputy Head of Division of Neuroscience (Education).  The Teaching Department of Neuroscience now contains staff based on  both Guy’s Campus and Denmark Hill, and future strategy involves joining up undergraduate and postgraduate education.
