Key collaborative projects

Body & Mind in Chronic Inflammation: Together with Prof Carmine Pariante and Dr Franziska Denk from King’s College London, Leonie coordinates the project Body & Mind in Chronic Inflammation funded by the King’s Together Strategic Award. This project aims to improve physical and mental health aspects associated with chronic inflammation. The project’s ambition is to create a strong interdisciplinary research network at King’s College London that will bring together research and clinical excellence in inflammation biology, neuroscience and mental health.

Synovial Hyperplasia in Rheumatoid Arthritis and Cancer (SHARC): A collaborative project with Dr Megan MacLeod (Glasgow), Dr Henrique De Paula Lemos (Newcastle) and Dr Luca Pellegrinet (Cambridge) aimed at investigating dysregulated synovial fibroblast proliferation in arthritis and cancer.

Pathobiology of Adverse Immune Reactions (PAIR):  A collaborative project with Dr Sophie Papa, Prof Andrew Cope, Dr Espe Perucha and Dr Nick Powell at King’s College London to study the mechanisms via which checkpoint inhibition therapy leads to accelerated autoimmune or autoinflammatory responses.
