Abigail completed her BSc in Biochemistry with Intercalated Year at the University of Warwick, graduating in 2014. From July 2012 she worked for 12 months at the Novartis institute for Biomedical Research in Horsham as an industrial trainee, within an immunology group in the respiratory disease division. Whilst there, she completed a project developing new imaging assays to quantitate rates of macrophage phagocytosis and efferocytosis alongside phenotypic studies.
She joined King's College London in 2014 as a four year PhD student funded by a BBSRC CASE studentship in collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline. The project is aimed at identifying the molecular basis for regulatory T cell-induced anti-inflammatory functions of monocytes and macrophages.
