Aims

Focusing on molecular characterisation of acute promyelocytic leukaemia (APL).

Identification of prognostic factors in acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), characterising the mechanisms underlying leukaemia-associated chromosomal translocations and evaluation of minimal residual disease (MRD) detection using quantitative PCR as a means for directing treatment approach in the context of the UK National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) leukaemia trials.
