Our research interest is in how different aspects of gene expression are regulated in response to environmental exposures. Such gene-environment interactions are critical for regulating how an organism responds to changing environmental conditions and may play a role in diseases which have an environmental component. Environmental exposures during mammalian development may permanently effect such systems and bring about changes in physiology that have long-term consequences for how an organism responds to subsequent exposures.
