BMJ 'Oscar'

At the equivalent medical version of the Oscars, Professor Tony Rudd of the Stroke Research Group, has recently won a major BMJ Award for Improvement in Patient Safety in connection with a new model for acute stroke services. It is estimated that the new care model will help save up to 400 lives a year. Congratulations go to Professor Rudd and his team.
