Early Career Researchers
The School of Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences has an Early Career Research Society to provide early career researchers (late stage PhD students, research staff, post-doctoral researchers and clinical fellows) with information and opportunities for furthering their careers. Each department has 1 – 2 representatives that meet monthly to discuss current issues, needs and feedback of early career researchers within the school.
The Society aims to:
- Provide support and assistance to researchers by organising training and careers seminars
- Organise networking events to promote the multi-disciplinary nature of the school. Providing a platform for collaboration between clinicians, biologists, chemists, mathematicians, physicists and computer scientists
