Sanz Moreno Group

The Sanz Moreno Group

My group is working on identifying molecular cues that will aid in tumour progression and metastatic dissemination. Tumour cells use Rho GTPases to regulate their cytoskeleton; therefore, these proteins play a key role in regulating tumour initiation and dissemination.

My lab combines 'OMICs', state of the art microscopy in 3D matrices, molecular biology and patient information to identify molecular determinants driven by Rho GTPase signalling that correlate with cancer progression and metastatic potential. At the same time, we are very focused on identifying novel therapeutic approaches to target cancer-stromal interactions.
