685x200px_01

The strategy of this group is to study the effects of maternal obesity and gestational diabetes on fetal growth with the aim of improving our understanding of the mechanistic pathways leading to fetal growth anomalies, improved detection and prevention of adverse outcomes. The research projects range from epidemiological based observational studies including population based studies to clinical trials. The workstreams below are underpinned by skills in epidemiology, biostatistics, clinical biochemistry, fetal programming and fetal imaging.
