About Outreach for Medicine
What do we offer?
Outreach for Medicine work with students from non-selective state schools. We run a series of free events for students in key stages 3, 4 and 5, aimed at encouraging students to pursue careers in medicine, dentistry, and healthcare. Many of our events are kindly supported by the Worshipful Company of Barbers.
Outreach for Medicine runs in parallel to the King’s flagship Widening Participation medicine course the Extended Medical Degree Programme (EMDP) and dentistry course the Enhanced Support Dentistry Programme (ESDP). The programmes are designed for students from non-selective state schools who are committed to a medical or dental career, but who may not have reached their full academic potential and may not be eligible for conventional medical or dental degree courses.
