Financial Support

Thinking about applying to King's Maths School?

Our purpose is to cater for talented mathematicians living across London. We appreciate that, depending on where you live and on your financial circumstances, the daily journey to our school may represent a significant cost.

It should not, however, present a barrier. We are a unique school and our mission is to ensure that our specialist education is available to all students who demonstrate the right aptitude and enthusiasm for mathematics, regardless of their background.

We are therefore delighted to offer a policy of financial support for students who are successful in their applications and who enrol at King’s Maths School.

If you receive Free School Meals, you will be eligible for a 100% travel bursary (capped at £1000), and will be provided with a Windows laptop for the duration of your study free of charge.

If your family is in receipt of either Working Tax Credits, Child Tax Credits or Universal Credit, you will be eligible for a 50% travel bursary (capped at £500), and will be provided with a Windows laptop for the duration of your study at 50% of the standard rate

Bursaries will be awarded through termly payments following enrolment, on receipt of paperwork evidencing that you are eligible for Free School Meals, Working Tax Credits, Child Tax Credits or Universal Credit. Applications for the bursaries can be completed on enrolment.
