Developmental Psychopathology Lab

The Developmental Psychopathology Lab is an interdisciplinary group, investigating how stressful environments exacerbate underlying genetic vulnerabilities to affect children’s development.

DISCOVER Research Group

Adolescence is a key period for the prevention and treatment of depression and anxiety, as half of lifetime mental health problems start by the age of fourteen. However, few evidence-based treatments exist and current services are limited. Additionally, help-seeking is very low, particularly among black and minority ethnic groups.

Environmental Risk (E-Risk) Longitudinal Twin Study

E-Risk study, now in its third decade, follows the lives of 2232 twins born in 1994-95 in England and Wales. The study builds knowledge about how environmental and genetic factors shape behaviors, attitudes and health.

The Emotional Development, Interventions and Treatment (EDIT) Lab

The EDIT lab is led by Prof Thalia Eley and consists of post doctoral researchers, PhD students, and both undergraduate and masters students. We study genetic and environmental influences on the development and treatment of anxiety and depression. We are based at the SGDP Centre at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London.
