King's Mobile FAQs

No – this app can be installed by anybody. The app will be useful to staff members (choose ‘University Member’ and use your King’s ID as detailed below.) If you’re just interested in King’s, you can register as a guest, although you won’t be able to access personalised information (like library account details), and we won't be able to offer support for it.

Either search for it in your phone’s appstore (using 'King's Mobile'), or see links at the top of this page.

If you are a King’s student or staff member, choose ‘University Member’ and then login using you K number and password.

If you are a guest you will need to register. When you've registered, you'll receive an email asking you to click on a link to validate your identity. This email should come from 'campusm_do_not_reply@ombiel.com' and it is safe to do so.

Please make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi when you first install King’s Mobile, as there’s a one-time big download of data that might be expensive over a mobile network.

To check the availability of PCs in each of the Student Computer Rooms:
Click on the 'PC Free' tile. An overview page will be displayed which gives you a precise view of how busy your chosen campus is. Once you click on the details link on your chosen campus, you will be shown a breakdown of each computing room’s PC availability.

Things to note:
The data displayed is what’s happening live i.e. computers are displayed as available or unavailable in real-time as people log on and off. Some rooms may be booked for teaching, so you’ll need to check local signage, or access the King's Timetabling Services for more information.

Read through the FAQs first, then use the 'report a problem' option within the app.

If you can't do this or if this doesn't resolve your problem, please contact IT Services if you are registered as a University Member – unfortunately we cannot offer support to anyone running King’s Mobile who is not a student or member of staff.

If you have problems with the app, it's always worth uninstalling and reinstalling the app before you contact us, to see if this resolves your problem.

Taught students from the following Faculties can access their timetable on the app: Natural & Mathematical Sciences, Law, Arts & Humanities, Social Science & Political Policy, IoPPN and Undergraduate Nursing.
