Our Connections


We enjoy study-abroad exchange programmes with a wide range of international partners including departments at Heidelberg University, The University of North Carolina, Hong Kong University, Monash University and the University of Auckland. These are available to all undergraduate students.

A joint PhD programme connects KCL and HKU. Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3 and Heidelberg University, ERASMUS exchange, available to all undergraduate music students.  

Royal Opera House and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. A MOOC (online course), Inside Opera, designed by Dr. Flora Willson on the history of opera, has involved KCL staff and been run by KCL postgraduate students. Our connections with the Royal Opera House are extensive; KCL composer Sir George Benjamin’s recent Lessons in Love and Violence opened there, prior to a world tour of the opera, in the spring of 2018.    

St. George the Martyr – KCL Music Academy, a widening participation music education project. For Key Stage 2 children in the Borough of Southwark, run by KCL and St. George the Martyr staff, and involving KCL postgraduate students as teachers and mentors.
