Taught courses

Studying Music with us here in the heart of London means you are close to many of the capital’s world-class music venues and taught by staff who passionately believe in the central role of music in today’s culture.

Our Master of Music degree gives you the option of specialising (Musicology and Ethnomusicology or Composition). Musicology and Ethnomusicology students choose from modules taught by fellows of the British Academy. Composition students benefit from one-to-one lessons and can hear their works performed by professional resident ensemble Lontano.

Our weekly colloquia bring together leading musicologists and composers to discuss their work. You’ll be able to enjoy a large variety of student societies including King’s College London Symphony Orchestra, the Chapel Choir and GKT Music Society as well as our newly renovated music practice rooms.

Duration One year FT, two years PT, September to September.
